Let’s get to know the Sturdi-Built Sheds story… Sturdi Built Sheds is a family-owned and operated business that Dave, Marlene, and Nick Delagrange incorporated in 2010. Sturdi-Built Sheds sells custom-built, vinyl-sided Amish sheds that are manufactured by 3rd and 4th generation Amish shed builders located in Lancaster, PA. Sturdi-Built Sheds is also one of the largest dealers for Backyard Outfitters, who specialize in high-quality painted sheds. Sturdi-Built Sheds services Western and Central NY areas, with 14 sales locations across Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse.
Dave Delagrange started in the shed business in 1986 as a branch Manager for Heartland Industries. He soon branched out on his own, and in 1991, started his first shed business in Philadelphia, PA. Over the next 34 years, Dave would be responsible for selling more than 40,000 backyard storage sheds throughout the east coast. The key to the Delagrange’s success has always been driven by the best products, exceptional customer service, and faith in God’s providence.
In 2010, Marlene Delagrange joined the business. She quickly made a significant impact, taking our customer service to a whole new level. Marlene is the quarterback of our business, directing our logistics teams, scheduling customer shed deliveries, and supporting our warranty work. She is the friendly voice you hear when you call into our office!
Nick Delagrange started working for the family business as a teenager nearly 30 years ago. He has worked in many different capacities over the years, accumulating a vast shed knowledge, and is now our head of sales and marketing. Nick has a tremendous grasp of the shed industry and is continually pushing us to new heights.
Teresa Delagrange-Higl also joined the Sturdi-Built team in 2010. She manages our website, runs our social media platforms, and assists Nick with day-to-day marketing decisions. Teresa graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH with a degree in communications.
